These are not my words but how true they are. We spend our lives trying to achieve to be something whether its the best mother or the top sales person and amongst all that striving we get confused which part is the real us. All our Father ever wanted was for us to be His sons and daughters. He has no favourites and is not bothered if one of us is better than the other at something. It is hard in these times where just to earn a living can be cut throat but lets try and be more childlike and see ourselves how we were created to be.
Barry Adams says in his book The Kingdom Belongs to Little Children "The systems of this world honour the elite while the Kingdom of God exalts the poor, the weak, the foolish and the childlike. If we don't see life through the lens of God's perspective, we will miss out on the high value He places on the disenfranchised & marginalised among us.......if we stay small in our own eyes, our inflated egos won't get in the way of seeing the world as God sees it"
